Requirement

5 Camera OB Vehicle for MOI Dammam in association with Modern Media Systems—Part of the Al Faisaliah Group.  The MOCI had a requirement for a five camera outside broadcast truck, to cover small sports events and for news gathering.  Typical news events would be meetings of important public figures at various locations probably without broadcast cabling in place as may be found at a sports stadium.  A generator trailer, or possibly integrated generator, is required to power the new vehicle.

Not part of this specification, the Dammam studio complex was expected to be replaced in the near future with a new digital facillity and the opportunity exists long term to use common technology for this vehicle and the new studio complex.

Construction
The Mobile Production unit is a fabricated rigid box section built on a standard comercial based Mercedes Axor-R Lowline 4x2 Ridgid Chassis.

Features
Outside skirt lockers were included in the design of the vehicle to house additional features such as Hydraulics, DC battery systems, Pneumatic mast pumps. Integrarted battery charging systems and isolation of such features were also installed in the lockers.  (external noise)

Power
Canatron Transformers 3 Phase double wound transformer wound for an input of 380 Volts 60Hz delta connected capable of accepting 433V and having an output of 380 Volts.  Suitable for operating in ambient temps of -10ºC to 50ºC.

Uplink
Advent One Ku Band Uplink with motorised vehicle mounted antenna system, including base unit and cable assemblies.

Mast
NX8 7.6m pnuematic telescopic mast, complete with roof bearing assembly and side mounting brackets.  Quickset Pan/Tilt QPT-90 24vdc, including Joystick remote, full rack kit, and Controller 24vdc 1n-out, WITH AE meter
